Or you can place the ball under your feet as you lay on your back in order to perform a variety of exercises as well.

One type of workout usually does better than others for people and once you find which type of workouts for your abs gives you the best results, you'll want to make it a regular part of your exercise regimen. At the same time, don't forget to do other kinds of exercises, both for your abs and for the rest of your body to build a physique which is toned, firm and well defined all over.
